Please read these conditions carefully, as purchase of goods from this site signals your acceptance of these conditions.

About the Customer (you)

Bifferos.com supplies embedded systems only for use/resale by OEMs and does not supply to 'end users' or 'consumers' as defined by the Distance Selling Regulations (2000) in the UK, therefore Distance Selling Regulations do not apply. If we suspect you are an 'end user' we may decline to sell goods to you, in which case we will cancel your order issuing a full refund. By purchasing from this site you warrant that you are an OEM evaluating the products, or purchasing for subsequent redistribution, and that your purchase from us is a 'business to business' transaction.

Satisfaction Guarantee

If you receive goods and find they don't meet your requirements we provide a limited satisfaction guarantee. Provided goods are in resaleable condition they may be returned for a refund within 14 days of receipt. You need to pay return postage, our costs incurred when originally sending the item(s) out, and any Paypal fees on the same. We will refund the remaining money. When returning items from outside the UK you must use airmail. We will not provide refunds for surface-mail returns. Note that software is excluded from this offer. Note also that plastic cases are easily damaged, and if not returned in perfect condition cannot be resold. You will therefore be billed for these if not returned in mint condition. Please contact us before returning items under this offer.

Faulty items

We provide a 6 month warranty on all items sold in the online store. This is a return-to-base warranty (RTB). If the goods are found to be defective they can be returned for either a refund or replacement (at our option) during this time. Our warranty with our supplying factory extends to 12 months, however due to delays between us receiving the boards and selling them we're not always in a position to pass this full warranty on to our customers. We will honour a warranty longer than 6 months where possible, but this is at our discretion. If you require a longer warranty period please contact us as this can be provided for an extra fee on larger orders.

Shipping charges

For most orders the shipping charges calculated by Paypal tend to be correct, however shipping is based on item cost not weight, so if you order a large number of heavy, low value items then the calculated shipping may be unreasonably low. We reserve the right to cancel the order in such cases refunding the money. If we do this you can request an invoice for the required goods and we will calculate the postage more precisely. In the same way, if you suspect the postage to be unreasonably high for your order please get in touch and we'll see if we can reduce it, but bear in mind that all goods are insured, and require a signature on receipt: We only use signed-for postal services.

VAT Charges

We are not VAT registered, and this is not a requirement for operating a business in the UK. If you are a business, you cannot claim back the VAT on items purchased from us, although we can provide a pro-forma invoice, an example of which is available on request.

Technical Support

Bifferos.com does not provide one-to-one support any more than is necessary to establish whether an item is faulty. Bifferos.com does not provide custom/bespoke firmware in support of the devices sold. If you require custom firmware and do not possess sufficient Linux expertise to prepare it then we can (and have) provided consultancy in relation to this. The cost is currently £30/hour, generally billed in 5 hour increments, with any money remaining returned to the customer when the work has finished. We do offer support via the online forum, which should always be the first place to try. We will respond there if we're able.

Address for Service

Our contact defails are available on request, and included on all invoices, and as return addresses on all parcels sent out. We do not include them here, to avoid them getting into search engines, resulting in possible junk mail and so on.

Returns

Please contact us before returning any items. We will then provide you with a return address. All items are sent at the sender's risk, and we recommend purchasing extra insurance as necessary.
